Denise will present facts that corporations and staff need to know to understand what one goes through when making a transition from male to female or female to male as well as how corporations can promote a professional environment while supporting those in transition and their co-workers. The presentation will include but not be limited to: gender terms and definitions, the difference between gender and sexual orientation, legal, medical and ethical considerations, definition of discrimination and harassment, specific steps beneficial for corporations to make to support co-workers and those in transition.
The length of time for the presentation can be adjusted according to staff needs. In addition to the power point presentation, a person who has transitioned often comes to share their personal experience. The lecture ends with questions and answers. Evaluations of prior Corporate Sensitivity Training presentations have been overwhelmingly positive with appreciation for the educational and informative material, as well as the warm, personal, and positive way it was delivered.
