Therapy offers effective methods for making personal, empowering, positive changes. This is accomplished by identifying problems, (when what is happening is not what you want to be happening), being accountable (taking responsibility), developing and strengthening coping skills, and choosing options (and there are always several!) that are in your best interest.

I am an advocate for gender education among the psychiatric community. My presentations include “Understanding Transgenderism” which I presented at the 1998 and 2000 Texas Association of Marriage and Family Therapists Conference in addition to "Spectrum 2000", the twenty-seventh regional Institute on Alcohol and Drug Studies. I have been published in various newsletters and magazines.

I have authored a tape set called “Developing Boundaries and Effective Confrontation”.

I am a member of:

  • IMAGO Relationships International
  • Houston Association of IMAGO Relationship Therapists
  • Texas Association for Marriage and Family Therapists
  • Trauma and Dissociation Disorders Study Group of Houston
  • John Steven Kellett Foundation, Appointed Board Member
  • Harry Benjamin International Gender Dysphoria Association
